The design

ON MY KNEES on one thigh, FOR YOU. on the other, in black flock capitals on sheer black 30 denier. Splitting the line across two legs is what makes this one different from the rest of the range: neither half says much on its own, and the sentence only assembles itself when someone is looking at both legs at once. That is a slower read than a single word, and it is meant to be. The lettering is raised flock, not screen print, sitting on a sheer fabric so the black reads against the skin underneath rather than against the tights — the same reason a small tattoo carries further across a room than its size suggests.

How to wear it

The placement is low on the front of the thigh, just below where a mini hem falls, so the hem is the entire decision: anything longer covers one or both halves and the joke never lands. A short pleated or plaid skirt works, as does a slip dress cut high. Boots of any height are fine here, since none of them reach the wording. This is club and concert legwear rather than something to wear to lunch — the front placement means it is the first thing read in a lit room, and the last thing read in a dark one, which is the setting it was designed for.

Fit & sizing

Both halves sit low on the thigh, above the knee, so leg length shifts them up or down relative to your hem. M fits US 4–8, L fits US 10–14.   • Washing: hand wash cool and hang dry. In a machine, use a mesh bag on a cold delicate cycle.
  • Never tumble dry. Heat is what lifts flock lettering off the fabric.
